Job description

To efficiently and effectively perform general duties in the section in accordance with instructions, laid down procedures, safety and housekeeping standards.

Framework for Operation – The jobholders works within detailed rules and instructions.

Tools and Equipment – The jobholder uses simple tools and equipment.

Supervision – The jobholder is closely supervised / monitored.


Key activities

  • Cleans all working areas on completion of work carried out. Maintains good house keeping in the lubrications’ store
  • Digs/clears cable trenches and fills them as necessary to avoid exposure of underground power cables.
  • Collects and delivers spare and tools as requested.
  • Maintains gardens and grounds.
  • Carries out manual responsibilities such as loading and unloading of deliveries
  • Carries out daily plant inspection for oil levels and leaks and tops up accordingly or reports defect to the supervisor for corrective action. Carries out routine plant lubrication to ensure minimise plant breakdowns
  • Works within strict quality standards to support the Quality function.Cleans all working areas on completion of work carried out. Maintains good house keeping in the lubrications’ store
  • Operates in accordance with policies and rules.

Education required

  1. Secondary / Intermediate + (5 GCSE)

Experience required

  1. A minimum of 2 years work experience in plant maintenance lubrication environment.
