To analyze security risks, define access privileges, control structures and resources, conduct vulnerability testing and develop response procedures. The role also develops and maintains business continuity and disaster recovery protocol
Identifies shortcomings in current compliance processes, systems and procedures; develops ad hoc solutions to immediate problems within assigned unit and/or discipline
Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment and systems for emergency repairs, performs preventive maintenance inspections, assists specialists in setting up and testing new products/processes and installs complex systems with guidance
Performs complex data processing using established procedures and testing new procedures to see if they might represent improvements over existing methods.
Conducts research using primary data sources and selects relevant information to enable analysis of key themes and trends
Uses comprehensive knowledge and skills to act independently while guiding and training others on maintaining the security, integrity, compliance and continuity of IT systems and services.
A recognized University Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Equivalen
Industry related certification e.g. CCNP will be an added advantage
A minimum of 5 years post qualification experience in an ICT environment,
Three (3) of which should have been in IT Network Security Analysis.
